Gibson HQ Amsterdam

Gibson Brands, Inc. is the fastest-growing company in the music and sound industries. Founded in 1894, the company has a portfolio of well-recognized brand names starting with the #1 guitar brand, Gibson.

We had the honor to shoot some great footage here.

Backstage with Kerry

Kerry King is guitarist for the American band Slayer. King co-founded the band with Jeff Hanneman in 1981. Slayer is credited as one of the "big four" thrash metal bands, along with Metallica, Megadeth, and Anthrax.Early albums, such as Hell Awaits and Reign in Blood, featured a "wailing style" and "demented soloing often mimicking the screams of the song's victims.Slayer forever changed the rules of the game in ‘86 when they released 'Reign in Blood' which was hailed by fans, peers and critics alike as the greatest thrash metal album of all time. “We are the AC/DC of heavy metal”, guitarist Kerry King once stated, “whenever we put out a new album you know exactly what to expect.”More than three decades later, armed with walls of Marshalls, Slayer continues to rule-the-roost and set the standard by which all others are judged…

Joe Satriani

Satriani is the quintessential electric guitar guru. His lyrical, soaring compositions are technically dazzling. He approaches his guitar like an olympic athlete preparing for the floor exercises. He is a gymnast on the fingerboard, cartwheeling and somersaulting across the frets, illustrating his dedication to practice and creative exploration.

One of the most widely respected and best-loved six-string artists of the past 20 years, he has also been a dynamic and influential teacher to such rock luminaries as Steve Vai, Metallica's Kirk Hammett, Larry LaLonde of Primus, Counting Crow's David Bryson, and fusion wunderkind Charlie Hunter.

Satriani has amassed gold and platinum plaques for guitar odysseys like his 1987 touchstone Surfing With the Alien and released 15 studio albums.

Backstage with Lzzy Hale

Lzzy Hale  is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and front-woman of the American hard rock band Halestorm. The group’s self-titled album was released in 2009, the follow-up, 'The Strange Case Of…' hit the streets in 2013, and contained the single 'Love Bites (So Do I)' which won Halestorm their first Grammy.

Lzzy Hale began learning to play the guitar at 16. ' Really the only thing that I've been consistently satisfied with is the combination of whatever guitar I'm using, and my Marshall amp. For whatever reason, that's been my go-to, my comfort zone'. Miss Hale is a no-nonsense woman, happy with the 2013 Marshall JCM800 special made for Lzzy in her signature white and gold.

Wisseloord Studio's

Built in 1978, Wisseloord has a rich, celebrated history in the music business. Artists like Elton John, The Police, Michael Jackson, Scorpions and the Rolling Stones recorded here.

Their collection of vintage instruments, amplifiers, and outboard gear

is huge. We had the pleasure of filming some of the most exclusive Marshall Amps, including the Marshall with serial number 7. Yeah, that is right. The 7th Marshall ever built, by Jim Marshall himself as the marker drawn signature on the back reveals.

Backstage with Zakk

A mash-up between a viking and an WWF wrestler. A friendly giant and a hell of a guitar player. That is Zakk Wylde. Best known as the former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, and founder of the heavy metal band Black Label Society. We had the honour to meet him and had a great talk about the

Marshall amp, the factory and 'father' Jim Marshall.

Backstage with Billy

We had the pleasure to meet Billy F. Gibbons. The guitarist of the American rock band ZZ Top. Gibbons formed ZZ Top in late 1969, which then quickly settled on bassist/vocalist Dusty Hill and drummer Frank "Rube" Beard.

The band rolled on, intensively touring and recording/releasing albums until 1977, when they took an extended hiatus. They reunited two-and-a-half years later in order to start recording under a new Warner Bros. contract. Unbeknownst to each other at the time, both Dusty Hill and Billy Gibbons had grown the chest-length beards that quickly became a part of their image.

Backstage with Lemmy

Please meet the one and only true legend; Lemmy Kilmister.

We had the pleasure to talk with him. He was in a very good mood and he loved it to talk about his Marshalls.

As kind as Lemmy always is, we agreed to shoot their concert later this year. So stay tuned for some great on-stage footage of Motörhead!

Backstage with Joel

Mr Joel O'keeffe. Frontman of the true Rock and Roll band Airbourne. These aussies know how to rock. The've just been on the road for ten years, but Joel told us some great story's.

Keep on rockin' you guys, it was great meeting you.

Backstage with Joanne

It was great to catch up with Joanne Shaw Taylor. This beautiful talented guitar-girl rocked her Telecaster and her Les Paul through a Marshall Bluesbraker.

We had a nice talk about her influences, her type of guitarplay and why she loves the Marshall sound.

Marshall Factory Tour

We had a great visit at the Marshall Factory in Milton Keynes.

Phil Wells from Marshall was a gracious host and truly a wealth of knowledge about everything Marshall.

Also we had a nice chat with Managing Director Jonathan Ellery. He introduced us to Joel Manan, Marshall's artist liaison manager. They both loved our filmidea and pledged that they will help us anywhere they can.

We now make an official approved Marshall documentary.

Backstage with Joe

Though he was from the very beginning viewed as something of a prodigal son for the blues genre he would later become a master of, few indeed could have guessed how massive his success and talent would become. Bonamassa, son of a guitar player and dealer, first became noticed by the wider blues community when he was 12 years old, due to his opening gig for B.B. King.

Backstage with Lynch

James Lynch joined Dropkick Murphus in 2000 to record the album Sing Loud, Sing Proud. And still is the importent backbone of the group.

We had a nice chat with James when he was in Eindhoven for the DKM gig.

Backstage with Adrian

Adrian Vandenberg is one of the best Dutch Guitarplayers and known for his tenure as one of the guitarists in Whitesnake during their successful late 1980s period.

After Whitesnake, he played in the band Manic Eden, which also featured Adrian's former Whitesnake bandmates bassist Rudy Sarzo and drummer Tommy Aldridge. The band split up when Adrian took part in Whitesnake's 1994 Greatest Hits reunion/tour.

Now he is touring with an all new band called Vandenbergs Moonkings. Vandenberg formed Vandenberg's MoonKings in late 2013. The band consists of Vandenberg (Guitar), Jan Hoving (Vocals), Mart Nijen-Es (Drums) and Sem Christoffel (Bass). On 21 February 2014 Vandenberg's MoonKings released their debut album MoonKings.

Backstage with Slash

Slash is a British-American musician and songwriter. He is best known as the former lead guitarist of the American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, with whom he achieved worldwide success in the late 1980s and early 1990s. During his later years with Guns N' Roses, Slash formed the side project Slash's Snakepit. He then co-founded the supergroup Velvet Revolver, which re-established him as a mainstream performer in the mid to late 2000s.
